Who We Are

Our Achievements

KWA has acquired a legal status as a CBO and NGO.KWA is linked to up with national organizations and mentors like National Association of women living with HIV (NACOLWA), TASO, and National Forum for People living HIV and affected by AIDS (NAFUPANO), Mifumi. Center for AIDAS Leadership in Africa, living well UK.KWA has a steering committee which comprises of government officials.

KWA's efforts have a holistic and integrated approach to enable widows and their families address social, health economic and other challenges that they face.

Currently KWA supports a total of 906 beneficiaries including 493 children and 439 adults with home based care, mobile clinic, support group meetings, Functional Adult literacy for adult, enrolment and retention of OVCs in school, outreach programs, savings groups, games like football, netball and karate as safe start for the OVCs, Focus group discussions, vocational training, positive self management program.
